Qualification Details

Legal Assistant (801/26)

• Degree in Law from recognized university

• Experience:

  • 1–3 years legal practice OR

  • Experience in Government legal work (as per department)

• Age Limit:

  • Generally Not exceeding 30 years

  • DTC: 18–35 years

• Pay Level: Level 6 / 7 (₹35,400 – ₹1,42,400)

Assistant Engineer (Civil) – 802/26

• Degree in Civil Engineering

• Experience: Not required

• Age Limit:

  • Not exceeding 30 years (DJB)

  • 32 years (DAMB)

• Pay Level: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)

Junior Engineer (Civil) – 803/26

• Degree in Civil Engineering
  OR

• 3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering + 2 years experience (DJB)

• For NDMC: Diploma in Civil Engineering

• Age Limit:

  • Up to 30 years (DJB)

  • 18–32 years (NDMC)

• Pay Level: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)

Assistant Section Officer / Grade-II – 804/26

• Bachelor’s Degree from recognized university

• Computer Proficiency (for some departments)

• Age Limit:

  • 21–30 years (Services Dept.)

  • Not exceeding 30 years (Other depts.)

• Pay Level: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)

Examination Scheme

Legal Assistant & ASO – Two Tier Exam

• • Tier I (Qualifying)

  • Tier II (Final Merit)

AE & JE – One Tier Technical Exam

Negative Marking:

• • 0.25 for 1-mark questions

  • 0.50 for 2-mark questions

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• • General/EWS – 40%

  • OBC – 35%

  • SC/ST/PwBD – 30%

  • Ex-Servicemen – 5% relaxation
